Fossano, known for its panettone and chocolate confectionery companies, is home to a historical centre with outstanding features, such as the Acaja castle, around which the Palio dell'Oca takes place in June.

Surrounding the town is a tree-lined avenue called 'La Lingera' that overlooks the Stura river park, suitable for a romantic stroll as well as the starting point for the 'Del pescatore' nature trail that crosses the river thanks to the restoration of an old railway bridge.

Every Wednesday, the historic centre hosts a rich and colourful market, thus keeping an ancient tradition alive.
